The University of Miami's Department of Social work (DOCS) four trainee run complimentary centers: the Caridad Clinic in Boynton Beach, the Center for Haitian Studies (CHS) Center in Little Haiti, the CONCEPT DOCS Night Center in Overtown, and the San Juan Bosco (SJB) Center in Allapattah. All offer special chances for medical trainees to give back to the neighborhood, get mentorship from doctors, and gain experience in functioning as an important part of the health care team.
SJB Center supplies care to a varied immigrant community mainly from Latin America and the Caribbean, while CHS serves locals and Haitian immigrants in the Little Haiti neighborhood. All of our centers share the common goal of providing exceptional and thoughtful health care to the underserved. CHS Clinic takes place every Monday evening and emphasizes primary care.
